We are excited to host a chapter at our school. Membership to NAHS emphasizes artistic talent, scholarship, and service to the school and community through the development of artistic endeavors, together with a strong moral character. The benefits of belonging to NAHS include recognizing students who have shown outstanding ability and a dedicated spirit in the pursuit of visual art; increasing the awareness of art’s importance within the community and the school curriculum.
The primary mission of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA) is to promote and honor outstanding dance achievement and to encourage well-rounded dance artists to become leaders in their communities after high school graduation.
Dancers at the Fine Arts Center may qualify for membership by earning a minimum of 30 points outside of their FAC studio classes through participation in dance related activities, performances and events.
The GreenArtists meet very briefly and semi-regularly after school. Joining is simple: come to a meeting and find out about opportunities to volunteer. The GreenArtists participate in the Adopt-a-Highway program on Pine Knoll Drive and volunteer regularly to help remove invasive plants at Conestee Nature Park.
Community service hours can be earned.
